Late Years

Frustrated by the terms of the galleries and desillusioned by the art market, Fred retreated into his new studio located in a former attic in 1990. He conquered the new space with esprit and wit, filling it with lovely details until he passed away in 2019.

During these years, Fred concentrated on his work, trying to find new ways of expression based on his rich artistic experience. On weekends he paused and spent time with his best friends Ulrike and Friedrich, whose appartement soon became his second home.
